The Mothers of May series is a month-long project centered on amplifying the voices of the mothers within our Sisterhood of Trades community.

Throughout May expect special podcast episodes under Motherhood Takes the Mic and four in-depth written articles focused on different aspects of motherhood. Together, these pieces are designed to explore the realities, challenges, and power of motherhood through firsthand stories. Creating visibility, fostering understanding, and honoring motherhood as both personal and professional lived experiences.

Our Mission

We have a lot of goals with our community; our main mission is to share the stories of tradeswomen and inspire the next generation of young women to pursue a skilled trade. Our second and arguably most important mission is to highlight our members' voices - because visibility matters.

And our ultimate dream is to fund scholarships for young girls interested in pursuing a skilled trade

Vision

Through our blog, the Sisterhood Special, and our podcast, The Sisterhood Takes The Mic, we aim to share stories and advice, as well as build relationships with potential employers so that we can also become a sort of recruiting body.
